Posted: 12 Dec 2009 08:02 PM PST Human trafficking refers to the trade of 'flesh and blood' i.e. human beings. Basically it includes both legal and illegal migration of human beings, but nowadays it is used in very narrow sense which includes migration of human beings only for the illegal purposes. Often, people with no milk of human kindness in them are involved in such type of acts and not only they are just involved in human trafficking, they hit the bottom by forcing them to enter the world of slavery, prostitution and forced labor etc. In human trafficking, basic human rights of the person are taken away. Please note that human trafficking and people smuggling are two different issues and should not be interlinked. One illegal activity gives rise to other. In this, a number of illegal activities are involved. These are abduction, fraud, deception, exploitation, child labor, forced labor etc. In another words it is the fastest growing crime in the world. The primary aim behind trafficking is the monetary gain. Traffickers want to live luxurious lives on their ill-gotten gains. Trafficked people are mostly from very poor minority classes. Usually, a large criminal organization controls a number of small groups that are involved in such activities. Children are often forced to slavery, child labor or they are forced to become child (male) soldiers in some parts of Africa. Women and specially girls are forced into sex trafficking. In some parts of the world, even the trafficking of pregnant women and babies is very prominent. Men are trafficked primarily for forced labor and unskilled work. According to ILO (International Labor Organization), billions of US $ are generated every year by forced labor only. Forced marriage and domestic servitude are also considered as a type of human trafficking. Victims are often exposed threat to violence by traffickers. They are usually hopped-up before forcing them to do the desired work. How we as believer’s for respond this problem?,how we tell the truth to our kids?,how the solution about this problem?,this is our homework for next day’s! MUSA KARISOH |
